Ankara, 1 September 2016 – Paolo Alli, Vice-President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA), travelled to Turkey on 1 September to reaffirm the Assembly’s condemnation of the 15 July coup attempt and NATO legislators’ support for Turkish democracy.
23 August 2016 - Brussels, “Changes and challenges” characterize the Arctic region today and tomorrow. That was the main message of Major-General Kim Jesper Jørgensen, Head of the Arctic Command of the Defence Command Denmark, to members of parliament of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. The Assembly’s Sub-Committee on Technology Trends and Security (STCTTS) of the Science and Technology Committee (STC) visited Copenhagen, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands from 15 to 19 August. Greenland and the Faroe Islands are parts of the Kingdom of Denmark, but have extensive types of self-government.

"This latest outrage underlines the need for the international community to defeat the scourge of international terrorism.
9 August 2016, Beijing/Brussels - Senior Chinese officials defended Beijing’s stance over the territorial disputes in the South China Sea and stressed that the People’s Republic of China (PRC) will remain firm over its territorial claims, NATO Parliamentarians were told during a weeklong visit. However, China prefers peaceful resolution and dialogue to solve the issue, according to Luan Jianzhang, Deputy Director, International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and other officials.
